“In God’s Time” was inspired by a friend who had opened her home to me immediately following a tough time in my life. Mandy, despite her own immense challenges, had devoted her life to organizing searches for missing children. The day “In God’s Time” was born, she had left the house to search for two missing teenage girls an hour north of Houston, Texas. I was taken by her passion, beauty and grace and my heart was overflowing with love and admiration for this woman who was running to the aid of strangers… her life, her mission, her time was devoted to this cause, and for no monetary compensation. She approached the mission as if her life depended on it.

I was called to my piano and reflected on the miracle of how we are angels to one another and how Grace comes in many forms, at all times, every time… I considered what an angel, a savior, she must be to parents who don’t know where their children are, in that moment of despair and panic… Mandy was and is an angel in human form. We all are, when we choose to give our gifts and talents in service to one another.
